We had a storm Friday night.

I was home.

The winds were a little rough.

It didn't hit the house, but it sure came close. It didn't hit the driveway or me either.

I think there might be a chainsaw gang from church visiting me sometime tomorrow. You know my church likes to do this sort of thing.

Funny thing is, I kind of enjoyed the storm. I didn't have to go to get out and go to work in all that mess. That was a blessing in and of itself.

Praise God you are safe! Glad it didn't hit your house, or you, or the car. I love storms. My weekend is wearing me out. We had the monthly workday at the church, and I just got through scrubbing a floor, taking a door off a closet, and hanging curtains instead of the door. I still have to practice the song I'm singing in the morning. Why is it I'm on Xanga instead of practicing?

I can't believe how many trees were just split in the middle like that, mostly Maple trees, Ash trees and the flowering pear or plum tree that has those white flowers in early Spring. Those trees most really be some soft wood. Glad yours didn't hit the house. I'm surprised our fence didn't get damaged...but I can't see it all, so there may be some damage.I will be busy tomorrow after church for sure

WOW! That was quite as storm! I am glad you are OK, and that other than the tree branch, your house is OK too! Storms can sometimes be cool, but they can also do a lot of damage. I wonder what your kitties thought of it all? Our weekend is going well. Hubby will be preaching today, and he is right now putting the finishing touches on his sermon. Blessings on your Sunday!

I am glad the storm didn't hit your house or car or your kitties or you! I like watching storms, even loved watching the hurricane. I just hate damages!

Yup, you saw a side of it, too. Last night's storm brought a limb down and the electricity off for awhile. I thought the whole tree was going as it swayed in the wind like a drunk at closing time. Wow, hope it's over for awhile.

Wow, I'm glad you didn't get any damage to the house or you! This weekend I am enjoying having my son and daughter in law visiting, plus my other boy is home from college, so my nest is full again for the moment!

When you referred to a chainsaw gang (at donkeys') I thought it was a group of sleepers...

I think I should buy a chainsaw just in case.....

So thankful all is well with you and yours...And very thankful you didn't have to get out in it all. Storms can be so awesome with us watch as God is in charge.Other times we sometimes forget to see his handiwork. I tend to sing a lot in storms. LOL... funny that I have never been a 'shower singer'. Let those friends do the hard lifting etc. and you cook some hot dogs.

Yeah,I remember that storm well,I was driving back from Florida on vacation and we were coming through Birmingham when it hit.My husband who has copd got real bad and I had to rush him to the hospital;thank God and it could only be His doing because we were right near the University Hospital exit when he got like he couldn't breathe.After a rough weekend in Birming ham,I say rough but all the people I met there were epecially nice to us from the hospital staff,to the hotel the kids and I stayed at,we finally got back home on Monday.I hate driving in storms but as a Christian I really did experience God's presance.He sees us through the rough times.
